Description
Model Jungheinrich ETM A13.5; the ideal forklift for tight spaces and great heights. The forklift is ready for use. The only thing is that the front left wheel will need replacing soon (CHF 617.–). The original plastic wheel has literally disintegrated over the years. The battery also needs replacing. The forklift has been left unused for most of the time. Typically, a forklift of this type has an operating life of around 12,000 hours. This means that just 6.5% of the expected operating life has been used.

Unlike counterbalance trucks, which derive their stability primarily from a counterweight, reach trucks are fitted with wheel arms at the front. The mast lies within the wheel arms, meaning it is supported by the wheels.
When picking up a load, the mast is pushed forward and can be lowered all the way to the ground, leaving it completely clear in front of the truck. Once the load has been picked up, the mast is retracted and positioned back within the support arms – ideal for pallet transport. Thanks to this design, a significantly smaller counterweight is required compared to mast forklift trucks, allowing the units to be built more compactly. This creates the space-saving advantage needed for the tight confines of racking systems.
